I know that there are the DFA and DFM methodologies (DFA – Design for Assembly; DFM – Design for Manufacturing; very often called DFMA) which support the designer according to above mentioned rules.
The DFMPro approach supports to optimize manufacturing process and reduce relevant problems.
The DFA approach evaluates and helps to create the most efficient and the simplest design, from an assembly point of view.
Therefore, I have a question.
Does the company plans to create a program to DFA analysis integrated with SolidWorks?
Yes, for sure. DFA will be one of the capabilities in the near future. Next immediate priority is covering injection molding to increase manufacturing process coverage and then we'll take up DFA
